Surgical mask tester
SGN’s Surgical mask Filter Testers represent a new generation of testers designed for testing surgical masks and filter media as per ASTM F2299. The Model SMT uses a PSL aerosol that can range from 0.1 to 10 microns. It provides fast, reliable filter efficiency measurements for penetrations as low as .01% (99.99% efficiency). It can handle 1 test per 2 minutes, running complete tests with minimum operator intervention. An onboard microprocessor calculates filter penetration and resistance information over a wide range at a flow rate of 28.3 lpm. Filter test results are presented on a 7-inch HMI touch-panel display and data is saved in internal memory and can be extracted using a flash drive and printed to a computer.

Hygroscopicity Tandem Differential Mobility Analyzer (HTDMA)
The hygroscopicity tandem differential mobility analyzer (HTDMA) is a scientific instrument used to measure the hygroscopic growth of aerosol particles. It consists of two differential mobility analyzers (DMAs) connected in series, with humidification of the chamber between them. In the first DMA, aerosol particles are classified according to their size, based on their mobility in an electric field. The classified particles then enter the humidification chamber, where they are exposed to controlled levels of humidity. The second DMA then classifies the particles based on their increased size due to hygroscopic growth.
Diffusion Dryer
A diffusion Dryer is an accessory that is used commonly to dry and remove water vapor from aerosol generated by an atomizer. The dryer includes a removable extractor for collecting large water droplets. Desiccant surrounding the aerosol flow path removes excess moisture by diffusional capture. We have in-house developed single- and 3-channel silica-gel-based diffusion dryers to support low and high humid air intake in aerosol measurement systems.
